WHO WE ARE

AOBStudio started back in 2013. In the first years we were mainly training actors and singers and made several productions with our professional acting ensemble and our acting students, including “I Am That” (2014), “Disconnections” (2015), “Waiting For Giddo” (2015), “So What?!” (2016) and many more.



Artists can’t learn this from people whose careers were built on public money, systematic privileges or family wealth. Period.

Over the years, we adopted more and more of what the art scene really needed. Through working closely with so many artists, we noticed that most had never learned how to build an artistic path or bring their visions to life, especially not independent from gatekeepers, labels, agencies and public funds. Something that we achieved for a long time and therefore made ourselves available to those who need this as well.

In a scene full of short cuts, semi-professional, gimmicky workshops and amateurish experimental trainings that focuses on how to appeal to gatekeepers, while starving and begging for government funding, often in exchange with authenticity and self esteem, we quickly saw a real need for clear guidance and direction in the Berlin art world. Artists can’t learn this from people whose careers were built on public money, systematic privileges or family wealth. Period.

We studied our professions and gained experience for more than 20 years by performing on stages, in theatre, in film and by teaching speakers, actors and singers.
