With a Master of Arts degree in music ethnology and a deep understanding of diverse music cultures such as North Indian Dhrupad, middle eastern, and West African styles, Maria’s compositions reflect her classical background and wide-ranging influences. She explores various genres and soundscapes, pushing boundaries and crafting music that perfectly captures the essence and message of each project. Maria’s portfolio includes notable works like “Song of Solomon” (2020), “Waiting for Giddo” (2015), “Disconnections” (2015), and “I Am That” (2014) in the realm of filmmusic, as well as “Sometimes at Night” (2013) and “MissFire” (2012) in theatermusic.
